Description
The Mysterious World of MY NEIGHBOR TERESA
Book Summary
A return home, a new professional chapter, and a failed relationship are the starting point for an experience that will mark the protagonist forever. In his new destination, Barberà del Vallès, he finds a refuge of kindness and wisdom in his elderly neighbor, Mrs. Teresa. Through her daily tales of ancient mystery and horror legends, the reader will enter a world where reality intertwines with the supernatural. However, the greatest enigma will not be the stories, but Teresa herself, whose past hides a secret that will trap the protagonist in a plot of intrigue and deep emotions.
What is it about?
The work narrates the protagonist's return to his homeland, but to a city unknown to him: Barberà del Vallès. There, while trying to rebuild his life after a sentimental failure and embarking on a new professional path, he forms a close relationship with his elderly neighbor, Mrs. Teresa. She welcomes him with overflowing kindness and, almost daily, shares with him ancient stories and legends of mystery and horror, such as "La Llorona," "The Girl of the Curve," "La Sigüanaba," or "La Tatuana." As their coexistence progresses, the protagonist discovers that the greatest mystery does not lie in those stories, but in Teresa herself. He will find himself involved in a story that combines suspense with raw emotions, where legends seem to come to life and the line between the real and the fantastic becomes blurred.
