What is it about?
Sasha Renard is a mercenary who doesn't ask why, only how much. Her specialty: hunting magical beings. But when she is tasked with taking down Kael D'Arien, the warlock she thought was dead and who destroyed her past, the job becomes a death sentence. If she kills him, an ancient pact will annihilate her as well. If she doesn't, they will both fall prey to the monsters and gods that hunt them relentlessly.
Forced to ally with each other, Sasha and Kael traverse a world where magic is treason and desire is a lethal weakness. He hides a power that could unleash chaos; she, scars that not even her own magic can erase. The line between hatred and passion blurs as they fight to survive a destiny written in fire.
