Book Summary
The third volume of this Japanese vampire comedy turns up the heat at the bathhouse. Ranmaru Mori, a 450-year-old vampire, sees his master plan in jeopardy when young Rihito, his desired prey, falls in love with a neighborhood girl. Now, the vampire must do everything in his power to protect Rihito’s virginity and ensure his flavor remains intact until his 18th birthday. A hilarious tale of desire, jealousy, and cold dishes best served with a side of humor.
What is it about?
Ranmaru Mori, an ancient vampire, has patiently waited ten years for Rihito, the son of the family that runs the bathhouse where he lives, to turn 18. According to vampire tradition, a young virgin reaches the peak of culinary exquisite flavor at that age. However, Ranmaru's plan falls apart when Rihito starts high school and falls for Aoi, a girl from the neighborhood. The threat of Rihito losing his virginity before the designated date forces Ranmaru to take desperate measures to prevent his future victim's flavor from being corrupted. In this volume, the screwball comedy intensifies as the vampire attempts to sabotage the budding romance without raising suspicion.
