The Absolutes
Book Summary
The Absolutes is a young adult fantasy novel that reimagines the legacy of the Brothers Grimm. The story follows a group of old friends who, after a mysterious murder, find themselves reunited on a dangerous quest for the truth. In this world, fairy tales hide a secret: the verdacksals, cursed objects that only the Absolutes—people with a special gift—can handle. The plot combines intrigue, shifting loyalties, and classic elements from the tales, offering an adventure where nothing is what it seems and where allies can become the worst enemies.
What is it about?
The novel is set in the present day, where the Grimm organizations, guardians of the brothers' legacy, are at odds. The verdacksals, cursed objects hidden in the original tales, can appear anywhere. The plot explores the complexity of human relationships, showing how trust can be a double-edged sword and how enemies can turn out to be the most loyal allies. The search for truth takes them much further than they imagined, facing a sinister force that wants to keep the mystery hidden at all costs.
