Description
RECENT PROGRESS ON ELECTROCHEMISTRY AT THE IBERIAN PENINSULA
Book summary
This work gathers a selection of cutting-edge research in electrochemistry conducted by Spanish and Portuguese scientists around 2019. It compiles the papers presented as plenary lectures and oral communications at the XL Meeting of the Electrochemical Group of the Spanish Royal Society of Chemistry and the XX Iberian Meeting of Electrochemistry, held in Huelva in July 2019. The volume includes additional chapters to provide a representative view of the work of Iberian electrochemists, demonstrating the excellent level of these studies in comparison with the international state of the art.
What is it about?
The book presents, in an extended abstract format, the most significant results of Iberian electrochemical research. The chapters range from fundamental studies to advanced applications, covering the broad spectrum of electrochemistry. In some cases, due to the high interest in the results and their prior submission to high-impact journals, the authors have replaced their original papers with mini-reviews of their research lines, while maintaining the central theme. This allows the reader to access both recent findings and consolidated perspectives from the most active laboratories on the peninsula.
Main topics
- Recent developments in fundamental and applied electrochemistry in Spain and Portugal
- Presentation of results from plenary lectures and specialized oral communications
- Mini-reviews of research lines from Iberian laboratories
- Comparison of the Iberian research level with the international state of the art
- Applications of electrochemistry in biochemical engineering and industrial chemistry
Who is it recommended for?
This book is aimed at researchers, academics, and postgraduate students specializing in electrochemistry, biochemical engineering, industrial chemistry, and manufacturing technologies. It is also of interest to professionals who wish to know the Iberian research landscape in this discipline, as well as those looking for updated references on the most recent advances presented at international congresses in the sector.
