Description
After the Rain Pack, Vol. 9 and 10
Book Summary
This pack collects volumes 9 and 10 of the acclaimed series "After the Rain," a multi-award-winning work that recaptures the magic of slice-of-life manga from the eighties and nineties. The story follows Akira Tachibana, a 17-year-old girl with a cold exterior who is secretly in love with Masami Kondo, the manager of the restaurant where she works, a 45-year-old man who is as kind as he is clumsy. Between the daily grind of work and unexpressed feelings, this installment delves into the relationships and emotional turns that define one of the most sensitive series in the genre.
What is it about?
Akira Tachibana is a 17-year-old girl whose cold and distant appearance hides a deeply enamored heart. Her object of affection is Masami Kondo, the manager of the restaurant where she works, a kind but clumsy 45-year-old man who is often the laughingstock of his subordinates. However, it was he who, in Akira's darkest moment, reminded her that after the rain, the sun always comes out again. In these volumes, the plot advances toward key moments where the characters' feelings and decisions are put to the test, exploring the fine line between admiration, affection, and true love, all wrapped in a slice-of-life and nostalgic tone.
