LUCKY LUKE. MA DALTON
Book Summary
In this new installment of the Lucky Luke collection, the fastest cowboy in the West faces an unexpected situation during his break in Cactus Junction. After helping an apparently sweet little old lady cross the street, he discovers that she is none other than Ma Dalton, the beloved and respected matriarch of the fearsome gang. When the Dalton brothers hear that their mother is with Lucky Luke, they do not hesitate to break out of jail to reunite with her, unleashing a fun and fast-paced duel of wit and Western action.
What is it about?
The story begins with Lucky Luke enjoying a well-deserved rest in Cactus Junction after escorting a stagecoach. As he approaches to collect his pay, he bumps into an elderly woman who needs help crossing the street. However, his kind gesture turns into a huge surprise when the woman, far from being an innocent granny, attempts to rob a store. To the cowboy's astonishment, the locals are not only unalarmed, but show a special affection toward her. He soon discovers that she is Ma Dalton, mother of the famous outlaws. The news quickly reaches the ears of her sons, who, knowing that their mother is in the company of their archenemy, escape from prison without hesitation. From that point on, Lucky Luke must deal with a peculiar family dynamic, where loyalty and maternal affection are mixed with the mischief and criminal plans of the Daltons.
