Description
Gálvez and Pandora's Box
Book Summary
In this new installment of the celebrated series, Jorge Martínez Reverte once again plunges the reader into the adventures of his charismatic antihero, Gálvez. An ordinary man and a journalist to the core, he faces situations that, unfortunately, are also ordinary in contemporary Spain: terrorist attacks, corruption, violent commissions, and bed-hopping. With sharp humor and committed prose, this novel serves as a comedic and critical mirror of reality, where survival becomes an art and laughter the best shield.
What is it about?
Gálvez, a journalist who has already proven his ability to emerge unscathed from the greatest absurdities, finds himself involved in a new and fast-paced case. The plot starts at a dizzying pace and takes the protagonist on a journey through a world where the thin line between law and crime is blurred. Through his ironic gaze and direct language, the reader witnesses a series of events that mix the suspense of the detective genre with social satire. From investigations that smell rotten to dangerous encounters and absurd situations, the novel maintains its narrative tension while revealing the intricacies of an uncomfortable reality. Gálvez is not a classic hero, but a flesh-and-blood man who stumbles, gets back up, and, above all, does not lose his sense of humor.
