Description
Every Instant
Book Summary
Every Instant, winner of the 2023 Blas de Otero and Angela Figuera International Poetry Prize, is a collection of poems that investigates the search for truth and certainty amidst uncertainty. The reader will encounter poetry of sober simplicity, devoid of artifice, which seeks depth in the nakedness of what is said. Daniel Arana offers a lyrical experience that is, at once, a contemporary ascesis, where light emerges in the forest clearing and the word becomes a longing for authenticity.
What is it about?
This book is the result of an inner search that traverses the moments of daily life to reveal the essential. Through poetry stripped of ornaments, the author explores themes such as the fleeting nature of time, the need to find a firm foothold amidst existential fog, and the aspiration toward a truth that transcends the surface of things. The work is built upon a tension between the open and the dark, between light and the thicket, where the poetic word acts as a beacon that illuminates without stridency. There are no fireworks or formal surprises; instead, the reader will find poetry of a fair and sober simplicity, which reverberates in the nakedness of what is said and invites a slow and deep reflection.
