The author, Magí Sunyer, interprets various visual and literary creations by contemporary artists, transforming paintings, sculptures, installations, and texts into poetry. The reader will find a collection that experiments with poetic form, adapting to the references that inspire it, and which offers a reading experience where artistic creation becomes raw material for lyricism.

What is it about?

Sirventès gathers poems written as interpretations of artworks from various disciplines: painting, sculpture, ceramics, collage, installations, and literature. The referenced artists include Antoni Torrell, Antoni Mas, Salvador Juanpere, Mercè Modol, Madola, Rosa Ciurana, Rufino Mesa, Guigui, Josep Queralt Sanromà, Lurdes Malgrat, and the Políedre collective. Furthermore, the book incorporates an "exquisite corpse" shared with Xavier Amorós and Aureli Ruiz, as well as a poem dedicated to Francesc Vidal and Montserrat Cortadellas. The distinctive trait of the work is the constant experimentation with poetic form, which is molded and transformed according to the demands of the artistic references that inspire it.

Main themes

Interdisciplinary dialogue between poetry and visual arts (painting, sculpture, ceramics, collage, installation).

Formal experimentation with poetic structure based on artistic references.

Lyrical interpretation of works by contemporary Catalan artists.

Collective creation and literary play through the "exquisite corpse."

Who is it recommended for?

This book is recommended for readers interested in contemporary poetry that experiments with form and language, as well as those who enjoy the relationship between literature and the visual arts.
