Starting from a specific event—the night of Fernando Fernán Gómez's death—the author unfolds a poetic reflection on love, desire, and the city as a stage for experience. With a voice that moves between the autobiographical and the symbolic, this book offers the reader contemporary poetry that turns the everyday into lyrical material.

What is it about?

The poetry collection begins with a precise scene: the night actor and writer Fernando Fernán Gómez dies, while the protagonists are making love on a sofa. From that moment, the poetic narrative moves through the streets of Madrid—the cobblestones of Juanelo, the Teatro Español—where the public and the private intertwine. The work investigates how historical and cultural events filter into intimate life, and how the body and the city become territories for emotional exploration.

Main Themes

The intersection between personal memory and cultural memory.

Love and desire as experiences that unfold in urban and symbolic contexts.

The city of Madrid as a poetic space and setting for intimacy.

Death and artistic legacy as triggers for reflection on life.

Corporality and eroticism as forms of resistance and affirmation.

Who is it recommended for?

This book is aimed at readers interested in contemporary Spanish poetry that addresses urban experience and cultural memory.
