Unlike a conventional historical account, the book offers a structured journey through the municipality's public service from the mid-19th century to the end of the 20th century. Organized into thematic sections, it includes plenary minutes, land registry records, names of local social entities, and a collection of official seals. The author worked with the original nomenclature of the Municipal Archive, updated with the collaboration of the Historical Archive of Tarragona, offering a rigorous tool for researchers and those curious about local history.

What is it about?

The book is based on the documentary collection of the Municipal Archive of Vandellòs i l'Hospitalet de l'Infant. Rather than following a narrative thread, it is structured as a reference manual that classifies and presents documents generated by the local administration over a century and a half. The content ranges from municipal plenary minutes and land registry records to the different letterheads and names of local social entities, as well as the official seals of the municipality's institutions. The compilation work was carried out between 2000 and 2007, following the original nomenclature of the archive. Since 2013, with the relocation of the archive to Ca la Torre, the nomenclature was updated with the help of the Historical Archive of Tarragona, ensuring the coherence and validity of the information.

Main topics

Local history of Vandellòs i l'Hospitalet de l'Infant

Municipal documentation and archives from the 19th to the 20th century

Historical plenary minutes and land registry records

Social entities and official seals of the municipality

Archival methodology and documentary nomenclature

Who is it recommended for?

This book is aimed at researchers, local historians, archivists, and anyone interested in the administrative and social history of Vandellòs i l'Hospitalet de l'Infant.
