A story about the importance of traveling without unnecessary burdens, ideal for early readers and fans of adventures with a message.

What is it about?

Celestino, an optimistic penguin, begins his walk along the Camino de Santiago with an empty backpack and a light heart. However, as he progresses, he finds items that others recommend he carry "just in case": from an umbrella to extra provisions. Soon, his luggage becomes so heavy that he can barely walk. The story, told in verse, shows how excessive caution can weigh down any adventure, and how learning to let go of the superfluous is key to enjoying the path.

Main Themes

The initiatory journey and personal growth through the Camino de Santiago.

Managing emotional and material baggage: learning to prioritize the essential.

The importance of lightness and self-confidence in the face of well-intentioned advice.

Narrative in verse as a playful and rhythmic resource for early readers.

Who is it recommended for?

This book is recommended for children aged 3 and up who enjoy illustrated stories with animals, as well as for families looking for a story in English with an educational message about detachment and adventure.
